Past Graduate Student

Hailing from Lincolnton, NC, Jason graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at Western Carolina University with a B.S. in chemistry. He came to Virginia Tech as a Cunningham Fellow in 2000. Jason s work has focused on marine natural products, dereplication methods, and the investigation of new bioassay methods. Jason has also been active in the Graduate Christian Fellowship at Virginia Tech, serving as its president for three years. Jason and his wife Ella were married in July, 2004; she is also a chemist.
